She Goes Covered is a project that takes the form of a book, an interactive on-line essay for Triple Canopy Magazine and various sculptural objects to be shown in a gallery setting. For one year, I worked my way through the world of Jewish head-covering and the international trade in human hair. My investigation unfolded from the initial impulse to learn how to make a wig by hand.
